I'm Lindsey-

As a Master of Fine Arts graduate of Florida State University, I consider myself lucky. Lucky to have been a part of the Interior Architecture and Design department with such passionate professors. Lucky to have the opportunities FSU has given me. Lucky to have created myself at FSU, and lucky to have found my passion through design.

I love interior design because you can create a functional space that is creative and interesting. Through class projects, my work with Design Resources for Homelessness, Graceful Solutions, and my time serving as the Education Coordinator and Director of the Asian American Student Union, I’ve found my passion is to use design as a tool to change lives and serve the community. My thesis topic does just that: researched how students relax and recharge in restorative spaces at a Title I high school to improve student achievement and enhance their high school experience.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

To design is to exercise great power: the power to create beautiful and functional spaces, the power to improve people’s standard of living and their state of mind, and the power to create spaces where people thrive. I believe access to good design is a right, but the ability to design is a privilege. I have the responsibility to use design as a tool to serve and uplift the community and create opportunities for others. My mission is to make good design accessible to all, and I am honored to have that purpose and passion.
